4th-May-2007 11:59 pm - Paramore!!
Where do I begin??
Well at 12PM we (as in Katie [me], JenniLee, Johnny and Erin) travelled an hour to Toronto for Paramore. Before I forget Love Arcade, Shotgun Rules and This providence opened.
--we arrived around 1:15PM and parked and started walking, we wanted to find their tour bus and no sooner did we see it drive by. Like idiots we followed it. it parked along the wrong, I believe they had to get directions on where to Park for the venue (Phoniex Concert Theater). We took some pictures of it and Jeremy came out the door looked at us and smiled (johnny screamed HEY PARAMORE). They were waiting for the guy to come back with the directions.
After shopping..etc in Toronto we went back to the Phonenix to wait in line to get in. We were infront of the bus and Josh came out. We got some pictures with him, then hayley walks behind me in rush for meet and greet. They were HILARIOUS on the bus. I dont know who, but they were putting on masks, opening the window and just yelling random things the only thing I can remember was "Hey, whats your favourite colour". They would also stick their tongue out and stuff, it was pretty funny. When one guy was getting their luggage, i forget what band he's in, but the person wearing the mask was trying to close the door on him. They would honk the horn to scare the people infront of the bus and they would throw things out the window... Bottles, toys..etc We got the spider man thing.
After getting into the venue, we saw some of their merch. Note to paramore---get a debit machine; a lot more convienent for us =]. Anyways they have some neat new stuff. Riot Totes, shirts... etc... Spreaded all through the venue were new posters of paramore. I was goin to take one but security guards for some reason whenever I tried, they were there. Who knows if they would have let me.
Anyways we go into the actual stage area, 3rd row =]!!!   Just as soon as we got there Love Arcade came on. They were SOOO funny. They made fun of outkast. they were really energetic and crazy... They sang 5 songs. Dissappointing- we wanted more. they only sang 3 of their songs and two covers.
After Love Arcade I believe a Toronto Local band- Shotgun Rules came out. They were really good. They were more hard rock I guess but really good. The lead singer would never touch these 4 peoples hands but would touch everyone elses. I thought that was funny. They sang about 6 or 7 songs. They were really good-- they tried getting us pumped for Paramore.
After them came This Providence. I was REALLY impressed by them. They really loved to interact with everyone and they were really into the performance. they sang about 8 or 9 songs I can't remember. But the lead singer loved to touch fans and talk to them. and I believe it was their guitarist who let some girl play guitar infront of me. That was really sweet!
All of the openers liked to spray water at the audience. It actually felt good--it was pretty hot in there with all the people.
After setting up The backdrop and their equiptment, out came Paramore. They opened up with their new song Misery Business. They sang 3 new songs and one old song that made it on to the new record. and then off All we know is falling, they sang every song aside from Franklin and Conspiracy. I really wanted Conspiracy but hey after tonight I have NO complaints (although from it being hot and my feet hurt)
They were REALLY REALLY energetic, they loved interacting and they got right into the performance. Hayley forgot the words to Never Let this go... and due to that she said "You guys sing it, you know it better than I do". Hayleys usual routine telling people to put their hands in the air, vocally participate and jump around. Before Here we go again she was telling us all to dance and get crazy for the song. Of course, we all listened. They talked about how they love Toronto and how they've only been there twice and how they want to come back and play more shows. Hayley said to the crowd, "Do you guys know the next album title?" and she held out the microphone and we all scream "RIOT"... and she was so surprised and she goes "AGAIN.." and we screamed "RIOT". then she started laughing and she goes "AGAAAAAINN TORONTO!" and we scream RIOT. and she stated "Toronto, Im impressed, that's just crazy" then Hayley said "you guys wanna hear the opening track for Riot?" we all scream "YES" and they were like "Good that's what you're getting..... It's entitled For a pessimist I sure am Optimistic... so if you have your cameras now's the time to be filming and making videos. upload them to youtube, myspace or Xanga... Does anyone even use Xanga? Get all of Canada to know this song so when we play more shows, hopefully the whole world will know this song and will be singing it with us!" that song was AMAZING .and im guessing its going to be Track #1. Hayley loved letting the crowd sing. I must say they did a VERY good job with MY HEART. it was WELL DONE. there were some feedback problems but they quickly fixed that.
A girl jumped on stage and was dancing and then she jumped off and Hayley yelled "You're a trouble"... and a guy waved at hayley and she just stoped singing and she goes "Hi to you. And I'll wave back to you Mister". During Whoa, she really wanted the audience to participate. And for that, I believe I lost some ability to hear we were so loud. THe look on Hayley and everyones face was priceless. They always thanked us for being amazing and everything. they probably do that at every show but there was something in there faces that just kind of blew them away. Whernever hayley took a drink she would go up to the crowd and spray some water!! When She went to go sing BORN FOR THIS she started off singing MISERY BUSINESS then she laughed and started again with the correct lyrics. I'm glad she can laugh it off. I seen some bands throw the mic and get upset about it =]
I can't remember everything but it was an AMAZING concert and I look forward to Meeting them and seeing them again! It was worth every penny. Although I wish they would play for longer!!

18th-Nov-2006 02:44 pm - Panic! At the disco
My friend Jessy and I went to see Panic! At the Disco November 16th at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto...

Here's the review.

We drove to Toronto and went down to Much Music since Panic! Were going to be there before the show started for MOD at 5.
We went to Starbucks/Chapters just down the street from Much, and Leah (a much VJ) walked out.
We saw the rehearsals for Panic! At much they sang 3 of their songs and then a cover. That was a neat time! No words necessary.
After that we waited in line at much on demand, and we were front row outside... which I must add I'm glad we were outside because Panic! Talked to us more, signed more things for the people outside...etc.
Anyways, MOD starts, panic came on around 5:20 or 5:30--I can't tell you the EXACT time.
As soon as the interview started everyone outside started chanting COME OUTSIDE, COME OUT SIDE... and panic would turn around and talk to us.
Then, everyone would yell the band members name and a few of us yelled "I LOVE YOU RYAN" and Brendon turned around and said, "No I love Ryan". That was teh funniest thing.
Then some of us yelled "Nice Tight Jeans Brendon"... and then Leah (VJ) and Panic had this big discussion on his jeans and how he likes them because they fit.
The people outside would constantly yell COME OUT SIDE, COME OUT SIDE. and then Brendon said "I love how strangers come together like this, and yell for us. I love our Canadian Fans".-- or something along those lines.
Panic! Finally came outside and signed our things, talked....yelled.. ahaha... It was pretty awesome! They were nice, but as SOON as they came outside it started raining so Much Music gave them umbrellas. Which they gave to the crowd before entrying the interview area again.
After they went inside we kept telling them to come outside and they kept talking to us, and they would throw their hands up in the air when we kept chanting "Come Outside".. it was funny.

Concert time!!!!

After much music we headed down towards the Ricoh. Lets say Map Quest sent us pretty much all over toronto when all we had to do was go to the Exhibition place... You think I would do that since im there 18 days in August and I go to Toronto pretty much every weekend. But I was too excited.
So anyways, we parked and headed to our seats. Plain White T's replaced Bloc Party due to some health issues with their drummer... Surprisingly they were really good. I'm not a big fan of PWT but they turned out to be really good live. So after them about 20 mins later Jacks Mannequin came out. THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! I was really impressed with them--plus I'm a fan so it all works.
They played for almost an hour.... 5 more minutes would have been an hour. so that made my life as well.
Around 8:58 (yes I looked at the venues clock) Panic! Came out. they had this crazy circus music going on before entering the stage in a neat manner. This leg of the tour was called "Nothing rhymes with Circus tour". They had a neat stage get-up... Looked like a circus---hence the tours name. Brendon lifted up his shirt a few times...The band was very well put together.... Brendon danced a few times made my life!!! You could tell brendon took drama in school.... When they were acting something out on stage he did a good job! They were really amazing. I don't really know how to put that night into words. They sang their whole cd (A fever you can't sweat out) and a few covers. They had one custume change, which was neat... and during the intermission (which they called it to go change their custumes) brendon played the INTERMISSION song on the cd... then ran off and got changed. This crazy video was on.. then some of their crazy "harlequin" dancers came on with a sign that says PANIC and the other one said DISCO. It was funny. and they went all crazy on stage. Then panic! Came back on... the show ended at 10:11 which was really good for only having one CD!
If you want to know something just ask.!!!

Best night ever.
Met panic, chilled. Amazing concert.

Check out my site for pictures, videos of both Much and the concert.. The videos will be posted shortly.
