My friend Jessy and I went to see Panic! At the Disco November 16th at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto...
Here's the review.
We drove to Toronto and went down to Much Music since Panic! Were going to be there before the show started for MOD at 5. We went to Starbucks/Chapters just down the street from Much, and Leah (a much VJ) walked out. We saw the rehearsals for Panic! At much they sang 3 of their songs and then a cover. That was a neat time! No words necessary. After that we waited in line at much on demand, and we were front row outside... which I must add I'm glad we were outside because Panic! Talked to us more, signed more things for the people outside...etc. Anyways, MOD starts, panic came on around 5:20 or 5:30--I can't tell you the EXACT time. As soon as the interview started everyone outside started chanting COME OUTSIDE, COME OUT SIDE... and panic would turn around and talk to us. Then, everyone would yell the band members name and a few of us yelled "I LOVE YOU RYAN" and Brendon turned around and said, "No I love Ryan". That was teh funniest thing. Then some of us yelled "Nice Tight Jeans Brendon"... and then Leah (VJ) and Panic had this big discussion on his jeans and how he likes them because they fit. The people outside would constantly yell COME OUT SIDE, COME OUT SIDE. and then Brendon said "I love how strangers come together like this, and yell for us. I love our Canadian Fans".-- or something along those lines. Panic! Finally came outside and signed our things, talked....yelled.. ahaha... It was pretty awesome! They were nice, but as SOON as they came outside it started raining so Much Music gave them umbrellas. Which they gave to the crowd before entrying the interview area again. After they went inside we kept telling them to come outside and they kept talking to us, and they would throw their hands up in the air when we kept chanting "Come Outside".. it was funny.
--- Concert time!!!!
After much music we headed down towards the Ricoh. Lets say Map Quest sent us pretty much all over toronto when all we had to do was go to the Exhibition place... You think I would do that since im there 18 days in August and I go to Toronto pretty much every weekend. But I was too excited. So anyways, we parked and headed to our seats. Plain White T's replaced Bloc Party due to some health issues with their drummer... Surprisingly they were really good. I'm not a big fan of PWT but they turned out to be really good live. So after them about 20 mins later Jacks Mannequin came out. THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! I was really impressed with them--plus I'm a fan so it all works. They played for almost an hour.... 5 more minutes would have been an hour. so that made my life as well. Around 8:58 (yes I looked at the venues clock) Panic! Came out. they had this crazy circus music going on before entering the stage in a neat manner. This leg of the tour was called "Nothing rhymes with Circus tour". They had a neat stage get-up... Looked like a circus---hence the tours name. Brendon lifted up his shirt a few times...The band was very well put together.... Brendon danced a few times made my life!!! You could tell brendon took drama in school.... When they were acting something out on stage he did a good job! They were really amazing. I don't really know how to put that night into words. They sang their whole cd (A fever you can't sweat out) and a few covers. They had one custume change, which was neat... and during the intermission (which they called it to go change their custumes) brendon played the INTERMISSION song on the cd... then ran off and got changed. This crazy video was on.. then some of their crazy "harlequin" dancers came on with a sign that says PANIC and the other one said DISCO. It was funny. and they went all crazy on stage. Then panic! Came back on... the show ended at 10:11 which was really good for only having one CD! If you want to know something just ask.!!!
Best night ever. Met panic, chilled. Amazing concert.
